Boris has aspirations of being a famous jazz musician and defected whilst on a tour of England back in the eighties when he was playing saxaphone with a successful Russian folk band.
Karl is ex-KGB and works the door on a lot of local clubs which he sees as being a great place to make contacts as part of his long-term goal of being a crime boss in the big city.
