A photographer who made the transition from doing “those crappy jobs” to being shown in galleries, to being featured in international publication. He thinks he may be going blind, suffering from some form of macular degeneration that they are unable to determine the cause of. They suspect that it may be some kind of bacteria that he transferred into his eye with a dirty camera. He has, of late, become a very heavy drinker. He believes that he can transcend the need for sight — that intuition will guide him. He had pioneering surgery to implant visual sensors that transmit to his brain when he has them turned on — they give him incredible headaches but they may just be a solution to his problem. The technology is advancing and the people who are experimenting on him are at the forefront of the learning curve.
