Vanessa is a sculptor, a performance artist, a musician. Some would say she is a polymath — others would say that she has no focus. Both are probably true. People also think of her as the depressive trenchcoat wearing goth that always seems to be singing Cure songs and carrying around Neil Gaiman’s Sandman: The Wake. Somewhere between the aggression of Siouxsie Sioux and the shy bumbling action of Edward Scissorhands she exists like a wilful drop of ink trying to turn the blotting paper black.
