Gamliel, Kohen, Akiva, Teradyon, Chutzpis, Shamua, Chanina,Yesheivav , Damah, Bava are the denizens of the first floor. They came over from the Old World when it was still young so some say, though that would make them ancient beyond belief. They are monied and wise so some say, but others say that there must be at least one fool amongst them. Who can tell? Only father time who stands at the elbow of each and every one of them.
